Dream location: A beach wedding at Harbour Village.
This couple had always dreamed of a beach wedding. The exclusive Harbour Village, with its private white beach with many palm trees and clear blue waters, turned out to be the perfect location for their special day. At this beautiful resort, you can only get married if you are also staying there.
An unexpected twist on the big day.
However, the adventure of their wedding day began a little differently than planned. Just hours before the ceremony was to begin, the power suddenly went out on much of Bonaire. As the temperature rose, the chance for romantic piano playing during the ceremony suddenly seemed in jeopardy. Fortunately, the hairdresser, who needed a hairdryer and curling iron, and thus electricity, for the bridal hairstyle, had already finished and left, but of course the bride, with her beautiful bridal makeup, preferred to wait in an air-conditioned room.
Quick solution to electricity problems.
Fortunately, the team at Harbour Village was quick witted and quickly managed to arrange a generator. This allowed the pianist, who had been hired specifically to add an extra romantic touch to the ceremony, to still play her beautiful music. Air conditioning was also restored in an office behind the reception, so that the bride could prepare there in peace and coolness.
A romantic ceremony on the beach.
With the electrical problems behind us, the ceremony could begin. On the beach, with the sound of waves in the background and the pianist playing the bride and groom’s special songs, Sydney and John exchanged their vows.
Adventurous underwater photo shoot.
The ceremony was followed by a unique photo shoot. While most couples opt for classic photos on the beach, they decided to take it a step further. In their wedding attire, they went into the ocean for an underwater photo shoot! They had hired both a photographer and a videographer for this.
Een magisch moment met dolfijnen.
Wat deze fotoshoot nog extra speciaal maakte, was dat zij in de verte dolfijnen hoorden en later ook hebben gezien!
