Bride and groom get married on Sorobon, Bonaire

Nathalie & Fabrice’s wedding

A French dream came true on Bonaire.

This French couple had been coming to Sorobon every year for years to windsurf. They had been together for a long time, and five years ago they had a baby daughter, which completed their happiness.

When Fabrice finally asked Nathalie to marry him, they wanted to get married as soon as possible. And what better place than the beautiful Sorobon beach, which they have enjoyed for so long, with the colorful windsurfing sails in the background?

Time is running out.

There was less than a month to organize this wedding. The official documents they had requested had to be translated into English or the Netherlands and given an apostille stamp. Unfortunately, there was no time left for the latter.

An unexpected solution.

For a while it looked like there would be no wedding, until a week before the wedding I received the following message: “Could we still get married on the 20th even if unofficially”. It was a challenge and a race against time, but we went for it! How wonderful it would be if their dream of getting married here in Bonaire could still come true, and it did! The official wedding will take place later in France.

A Caribbean beach party.

Even though they were only a small group, they wanted a fun local salsa band. The salsa band made for a fun wedding party with Caribbean vibes. Even with a small group, you can make it a beach party! The sound of the waves in the background and the sand under your feet. It is the perfect setting to dance with your partner and create memories that will last a lifetime.
