General information
Bonaire is a sun-drenched island where you can enjoy year-round sun, beach and swimming, snorkeling and diving in the azure Caribbean sea.
During trips around the island, you will enjoy the tranquility, unspoiled nature and encounter many cacti and palm trees. You are also going to marvel at the flamingos, pelicans, parrots, goats and donkeys that just live in the wild here. SNorkeling is also highly recommended, because in addition to beautiful fish and coral, you will also get to see sea turtles. Kralendijk is a colorful cozy town, also the capital, with many souvenir shops and nice bars and restaurants. On Bonaire you will find few high-rise buildings and no traffic lights.

A few handy facts about Bonaire
- You can visit Bonaire all year round because the sun shines here all year round. Bonaire has a stable climate with constant temperatures of around 30 degrees.
- Rainfall can be more frequent from October to January. The showers usually only last a short time. The temperature remains warm during these tropical showers, at above 25 degrees.
- Due to the tropical climate, the sea water temperature averages 27 degrees, so you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling and diving all year round.
- Bonaire is best known as a diving paradise.
- In addition to kitesurfing, I recommend visiting Sorobon. This beautiful lagoon with warm shallow turquoise water is known worldwide as a fantastic windsurfing location.
- The people of Bonaire are very hospitable and friendly. Bonaire is a relatively safe island compared to other islands and countries.
