The ceremony was at Sorobon, Bonaire; an idyllic place where the couple’s journey together began several years ago.
For both, Sorobon was more than just a location; it was where they first met and where they continue to share their love for windsurfing.
It was also here that he proposed to her on a surfboard, a romantic gesture surrounded by turquoise waters and colorful windsurfing sails.
Surrounded by friends and family, they exchanged their vows at this meaningful location, marking the beginning of their life together.
Surfboards were a key theme during the couple’s big day:
- Surfboards were incorporated into the wedding arch.
- The table where the certificate was signed was a surfboard.
- The guestbook was a surfboard on which well-wishes were written.
The ceremony at Sorobon was just the start of a day full of highlights. After the beautiful ceremony at Sorobon, the celebrations continued at Landhuis Wanapa, their second chosen location. In line with their deeply held beliefs, they also opted for a church blessing, complete with a talented church choir and band.
After dinner, the party kicked off. In a spontaneous and joyful moment, all the guests, encouraged by the lively atmosphere and warm weather, decided to take a dip. The pool became the center of fun, with loud laughter and playful splashing as the perfect end to the day.
